National Trails Day Event

The Friends of the National Frontier Trails Museum, in collaboration with Knowledge Tree Media and the Oregon and California Trails Association, proudly present, “The Trails Are Us,” a special program dedicated to preserving the rich history of Independence. This event will take place, SATURDAY, JUNE 7TH, 2025 at the National Frontier Trails Museum at 416 W. Maple Ave. The event runs from 10AM – Noon.

We are celebrating NATIONAL TRAILS DAY with an engaging program including:

  • A presentation on Hiram Young and Emily Fischer and their contributions to the culture and look of the Independence Square
  • Why Independence is important to Trails History
  • Guided tours of the museum 

We invite the community and history enthusiasts to attend this important program. We hope you can join us!
